What is it like: this is a fresh, likeable youthful red with aromas of ripe large strawberries and peony, and a juicy medium body. This is a more mellow version of the Dolcetto and can therefore be an aperitif, slightly chilled. It goes very well with starters like cured ham, or a casual meal of pizza and pasta. Try it with BBQ!
What is it like: here is a blend of two of Piedmont's native grapes (Barbera and Nebbiolo) and an international varietal (Pinot Nero). Carrying the bright and cheerful character of the winemaker, Mirus has a rather concentrated nose of peony and red plums. On palate it is fruity with the right balance of tannins and body. If you have tried Magistri this one is more mellow and has more body.
Drink it at 16-18 degrees C. and it can go well with most meat or even vegetarian dishes. Try it with the Chinese stir-fried beef and rice noodles!
Jovine is back! Try the 2016 vintage!
What is it like? Refreshing, with notes of ripe apple, white pepper and a touch of fresh sage. The nice balance of acidity and smoothness makes it a good all-day drink, by itself, with semi-hard cheese, or with seafood dish.
What is it like: lightly sparkling with very fine bubbles and notes of spring white flowers, it is perfect for a pre-dinner aperitif or something lightly sweet to complete your meal. Serve chilled (10-12 degrees celsius).
