What is it like? Made with 100% Ciliegiolo grapes, a local grape that gets its name "cherry" from its big berries and it cherry-like flavour. Traditionally used as a pairing grape, Serise was born, slightly unplanned, and out of the wine-maker's determination to transform its vineyard and wines to organic...... Richly fruity with notes of dark cherries and sweet spices in the nose, Serise is not mild but is not intrusive. It will go with roast and winter stew. Open at least an hour ahead and at around 16 degrees C.
We suggest: serve slightly warmer chilled (15-16 degrees C.) to allow the aromas to be expressed fully. The smoothness and medium body can make a nice aperitif in a cool indoor, with creamier seafood dishes.
